Traveling Men

Harmony Lodge

The men of Harmony Lodge #40

We are not only men of honor, respect, compassion, and unity. We are brothers and sworn to uphold an obligation to one another. If a brother is falling he can count on the fact that he will be risen and pulled up once again by his fellow brother masons. Our bond is much deeper than friendship and in some ways much deeper than a blood born brother. We have walked the same steps and are bound by the same laws of brotherly love.

Traveling from the EAST

Masonic men often travel to different areas to seek knowledge and understanding of the craft. Just as working masons traveled thousands of years ago to seek work in building monuments and temples such as but not limited to, The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11: 1-9) King solomon's temple (1Kings and 2 chronicles) and george washington memorial  We have preserved this tradition to accomidate the changing times and evolution of man. Our travel now is based more on seeking the light and wisdom of this world through the study of works of past masons before us.

WORK

To be a mason be prepared to work. We often gather to accomplish a common goal. Sometimes a project is our own and sometimes it is charity work. Do not expext a wage of financial gain. Expect a wage of knowledge and accomplishment. Sometimes the most amazing mystery is revealed while at work. Do not expct your only learning to come from a lodge meeting or traveling to some distant event. You will be among men of great wisdom and insight to many of the mysteries of the world that will unlock doors that were once locked. With each degree of masonry comes more work and more learning. Work is not always of a physical nature but that of opening your mind and sometimes this is a hard lesson. History is what man reveals throughout time. Ill say that again. History is what MAN REVEALS throughout time. Be prepared and open to raising your tools and putting in work.
